Guide to Accrediting Micro-Credential Courses
Micro-credentials are short, focused learning experiences designed to help professionals build specific, in-demand skills quickly and effectively. These targeted courses cater to busy learners who seek flexible, affordable options to upskill or reskill without the commitment of traditional, multi-day courses.
To accredit a longer, 14+ hour instructor-led course, view our Course Accreditation Session guide.

Actions
- Download Learning Outcomes via the Accreditation & Authorization menu of your icagile.com profile.
- Review the rubric to get familiar with requirements.
- Design a 2-4 hour learning experience geared toward helping professionals build related skills quickly and effectively. Consider the environment(s) in which your course will be delivered (e.g. self-paced, in-person, or remote instructor-led).
Tips
- Be sure to build in enough time for the main activity Learning Outcome.
- The order of the Learning Outcomes (LOs) within the matrix isn't meant to dictate the order you cover them in your course. Cover the LOs in the order you believe will provide the best experience.
- If you're stuck on how to cover a specific topic, contact learning@icagile.com.
- Remember that you will be able (and encouraged) to continuously improve your course in response to feedback after it's accredited.
